Having amassed fairly serious traction from his previous release The Bells EP series, JATA is back with his first track of 2016. With “Don’t Feel Like”, the Berliner (real name Jacob Vetter) has created a swelling, pulsating electronic track that ebbs and flows blissfully towards its gently industrial climax. Laid-back, walking-pace production and intricate, metronomic rhythms provide the base for Vetter’s seductive, swooning vocal. “I don’t feel like losing myself tonight” he pines, with an all-too-familiar sense of premediated regret. Having co-signed to the ever-trend-setting Kitsuné and with a debut full-length on the way, JATA is one producer we do feel like keeping a close eye on. -G.O'B
